🧡Just Purchased | Ashgrove 🧡 A lovely family home secured in Ashgrove that offers flexibility for the years ahead, an investment, a base to return to one day, and the option to renovate down the track if that’s desired. Ashgrove remains such a special Brisbane suburb. Leafy streets, beautiful green spaces, excellent schools and still an easy connection to the CBD. I’m excited to share that I’ve been appointed Chair of the REIQ Buyer’s Agent Chapter. After contributing as part of the committee in past years, I’m now looking forward to leading the chapter over the next two. A big thank you to @joannaboyd_buyersadvocate , our previous Chair, for her dedication and the strong foundations she has helped build. For those interested in what this involves: The chapter is made up of 8 buyer’s agents appointed by the REIQ board and are a committed group of buyer's agents that I am thankful to have by my side @matt_srama , @simonclarke_buyersagent , Serena Jones, @precisionpropertybuyersagency, @darrenkeenba , @leannespringproperty_brisbane , @sallyphillips.streamline The chapter works closely with the The @thereiq in supporting the buyer’s agent segment within the broader property industry. Another focus is to ensure the buyer’s agents who are REIQ members receive value through their membership by providing best-practice standards, as well as delivering education, training and events that support the profession and sense of community as it continues to grow and evolve. As the buyer’s agent space expands, I feel incredibly lucky to play a part in helping shape opportunities that support both experienced agents and those newer to the industry.

Here’s why things are set to be more competitive for the rest of 2025: 🧡 First Home Buyer Boost The government has brought forward its 5% deposit scheme to 1 October 2025 (instead of January). From then, it will be open to all first home buyers — no income caps, no place limits — and with higher price caps (up to $1 million in Brisbane). 💙 Interest Rate Relief With rates dropping in August and confidence already rising, the consensus is we’ll see at least one more cut this year. That means more buyers in the market with stronger borrowing power. 💚 Supply Story : the Real Market Driver Since COVID, the number of Brisbane’s property listings dropped significantly and just haven’t recovered - and this continues to be the main reason prices keep climbing.
