The government has brought forward its 5% deposit scheme to 1 October 2025 (instead of January). From then, it will be open to all first home buyers โ no income caps, no place limits โ and with higher price caps (up to $1 million in Brisbane).
๐ Interest Rate Relief
With rates dropping in August and confidence already rising, the consensus is weโll see at least one more cut this year. That means more buyers in the market with stronger borrowing power.
๐ Supply Story : the Real Market Driver
Since COVID, the number of Brisbaneโs property listings dropped significantly and just havenโt recovered - and this continues to be the main reason prices keep climbing.
Hereโs the perspective on Brisbane listings:
